Activity
Registration in Kyiv, an international founding base, and a focus on building responsible membership.
Registration and launch
The League of Ukrainians of the World was registered in Kyiv on July 23, 2025. That marked the move from an idea into an official organizational form.
International base
The League rests on three practical points: Torchynovychi and Dobrolad in Ukraine, WUBEF, Inc. in New York, and the affiliated structure in Przemysl. These are the bases from which further international coordination is being built.
Practical focus
Many people have already passed through the League and taken an interest in it, but the main task is not broad declarative support. It is to build a working network with official membership, contributions, and regular participation.
What the League needs
At this stage, LUS needs active members who are ready to work within the existing management structure, support the founding initiatives, and strengthen international cooperation.
New work materials
The LUS materials now include a photo with Volodymyr Pavliuk, head of the Ukrainian World Congress branch in Britain, as well as a photo from the League presentation at an exhibition of Korean companies in Chicago before a flight to London.
Another direction mentioned in the materials is the opening of a LUS branch in Kentucky. The materials refer to Oresta Lisovska from Stryi and the idea of involving the Stryi People’s House as a separate LUS subdivision, with coordination through Chicago.
The site also includes a LUS letter to Oksana Bilozir, inviting her to consider participation in League leadership work and the UWC summit in Bern.
